The Yeguada Aimaran sees the need for progress and modernisation of the PRE horse and is promoting our Andalusian Horse as a sports horse. Our horses “Ingenioso XX”, “Melgar” and “Náutico III” take part in Classical dressage championships and have achieved excellent results.
This is an increasing demand on the market for horses that are not only
beautiful but also functional and athletic,
and our stud farm is selecting horses that, apart from being pure
thoroughbreds, are also sports horses.
This is clearly demonstrated by the magnificent performances of “Ingenioso
XX” when representing our stud farm. In 2001 he was
Classical Dressage Champion (level IV) at the SICAB and this year
2003 he is competing in the Grand Prize category and has been classified
among the top contestants despite the fact that he is a debutante
in this category, given his age. Furthermore, our horse “Melgar”
is taking part in Level IV competitions and is fulfilling our expectations
by attaining excellent results. Our colt “Náutico
III”, the sire of stallion Ingenioso XX, which we
mentioned above, is beginning to take part in Level II events and
is obtaining excellent scores at the Contests he has entered. This
is understandable given that he is not only a very beautiful horse
but also a very functional one and may even outdo his father who
has clearly proven to be one of the most talented PRE horses in
classical dressage.
The three horses we have just referred to have been classified for the
SICAB final as well as for the Spanish Young Horses Championship
(Náutico III and Melgar) and for the Absolute Spanish Championship
final (Ingenioso XX).
The new generations of the Yeguada Aimarán are giving
a strong performance, demonstrating their gift for sport from a
very early age. This has been achieved through many years of selection
and we are now reaping the fruits of the harvest. We can thus see
that the Andalusian Horse is not only a horse of unique beauty but
a functional and sporting horse as well.
