After
a thorough study of the genetic lineages that go to make up the
PRE horse, the Yeguada Airamán decided to introduce two
lineages, one with a large percentage of “bocao”
and partly Yeguada Militar stock, and another that is entirely pure
“bocao”.
For
the first line we selected mares from the Martínez
Boloix and the Yeguada Militar stocks
whereas for the second line we chose mares from the Marques
de Salvatierra and the Urquijo stocks.
Later on we added broodmares from the Ganadería Las Lumbreras
to our stock and also acquired the siring stallion “Imperial
VIII” from the Marques de Salvatierra.
We
currently have 30 broodmares. When our Yeguada
first began our siring stallions were of “bocao” breed,
of which “Imperial VIII”, a siring
stallion from the Marques de Salvatierra stock, deserves special
mention. We later on incorporated “Animador II”
from the Las Lumbreras stock, a “pure bocao” horse,
of great height and excellent functionality.
 Special
mention must be given to “Endrino II”
and “Ingenioso XX”, siring stallions
that have been born on our stud farm. Between them they have amassed
a large number of gold medals at Confirmation Championships, and
are Champions of Race and Champions of Functionality. In addition,
“Ingenioso XX” has won countless Classical
Dressage contests and was the 2001 SICAB Champion in the level IV
category.
A number of sires of these stallions are currently siring on our
stud farm with excellent results. The most outstanding among these
are “Orión VIII” (a son of Ingenioso
XX) and “Olímpico XVI” (a son
of Animador II) .
This
group of siring stallions is transmitting great beauty as
well as extraordinary movements, which their sons
have demonstrated in a number of major Confirmation Championships
where they have been awarded first prizes, prizes for the best movements
and they have also been chosen absolute Champions of movements.
All this despite the fact that our stud farm does not often take
part in such events.
