He was born in Sevilla, and from his childhood he practised equestrianism with great enthusiasm, until it became his greatest passion. He had his first experience with Classical Dressage, what meant a turning point in his life. Yet, he found a discipline that merged the horse-riding practice with his other great callings: sport and competition.

Fortunately, during his training period he could learn from wide experienced European trainers. He started his professional career when he first took part in the technical team of the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda Horse Riding School, where he spent thirteen years as a rider and trainer, and Technical Manager the last eight years.

His incorporation into International Competition at a GP level, by the hand of the Spanish National Team, provided him the necessary experience to become a high level rider and trainer.
