Andalusian horses bred in freedom

The summer is coming and now that we have all our hay packed in bales and ready for our horses one of my favourite times of the year has arriven. Our mares and young horses go to the big fields!

As you all know our Andalusian horses are born and bred in the fantastic space of Finca la Capellania. Our land is in a really privileged area of Andalucia, the slope of el Torcal, our Spanish horses grown in a 110 hectars where 80% of the land is dedicated to the horses and the rest are beautiful lands with olive trees. If you look our area from the air, it looks like everythink is covered with polka dots, soooo nice!

We have been enjoying of a few months of green fields that made our place look like a green sea, but now that the greenery is gone, it is time for our horses to enjoy freedom. Our mares has gone from the winter stables to the summer fields, they look so happy to have so many space to run, eat grass and enjoy  with others… Our young colts and fillies are usually in big paddocks but now they are in even bigger ones. A lot of place for playing, fighting and galloping everywhere. It is a very important time in their lifes, the most important feature of an Andalusian horse is his/her temperament and to spend their time in groups with other horses conferes them an unique temperament. That’s why, as adults they are confident, trusthing and obedient.

Would you like to come and know our place?
